Just a quick one today, before a full post of words on whatever random topic comes into my mind, tomorrow. Sophie has gotten in touch with me to say “Hiya, I’ve read your blog and all the lovely responses and everyone seems so friendly” she goes onto say that although her internet is giving problems still, “I will hopefully be getting a new internet tablet soon”. Then adding the rest of her message into the mix:
ME is such a varying illness in that the symptoms and severity vary a lot between different people. I have quite a few contacts with ME already, and I do find it hard sometimes hearing from people of a higher ability level than me as it is almost like another illness and may be of a different cause and even a friend with ME thinks it’s strange we’re diagnosed with the same thing as we’re affected so differently! I will try to reply properly soon. Thanks to everyone who has responded. I have some ideas for blogs but wasn’t sure whether to do a website or blog and I was finding it confusing finding my way around WordPress esp on the mobile version of the site (I find the laptop much harder with having to sit up, the light from it etc).
So there you have it, a happy and inspired lady who is very appreciative of all your kind words. Over the last two days there has been 199 hits for this site, with the majority to going on the previous post, which just goes to show how awesome you guys are and what a lot of support you have to give.
I was overwhelmed with the response, you really did make me work to keep up with the flow of comments and likes and emails, reTweets, Facebook sharing and all the rest. I would buy you all a pint if someone would but lend me their wallet….
Consider the pint drunk! (Are you sure that it was only a virtual pint? It went down really smoothly!)

If it was upto me, or I had a worthy bank manager, seeing as how we bailed them all out of their recklessness, he would give me enough money to pay for you all to come over here and have a proper pub lunch and copious beverages. Sadly at the moment it is virtual but you never know…it may turn out bankers have souls after all, one day….

I’ll get you a mineral water in. I think we would be a raucous crew wherever we ended up.

I can imagine it… it would be a nice idea though! Alastair hooked up with Ute recently and they had a blast but with my troops (kids, and the hubby!), I should still be able to manage! 🙂

Sophie seems awesome Ste J! I relate also to her feelings about the variability in the way any given condition with a labeled dx can present in one person, and then seem like a whole other beast in the next. Frustrating, and one of the reason I don’t spend as much time on the medical forums as I used to. You are a sweetheart for featuring her story and encouraging a potential blog project for her…hope she embarks on it…. Much Love ~ x RL

I don’t have a wallet. So – I guess no drinks on me… 😆

I like your style, taking the sentence literally, I may turn up with promises but no wallet either and then just throw myself on the mercy of everyone else’s good nature.

You sounded just like a cockney then, Dick Van Dyke would be jealous hehe. I have never had a Toohey’s, I had to Google it as well, so I would love to sample some. Mixing drinks what a good idea lol.

we are an awesome lot and when we show it, we really do create a great atmosphere. I wonder how many of us expected this when we first signed up though. Pleasant surprises all round methinks.

My mum won a bottle of lambrini at the local fete and we have some more wine, will that suffice? Or I’ll buy beer if that’s what u all fancy, its not like I buy drinks for people normally anyway! And seyi Sandra can have elderflower cordial which is lush or schloer if she wants 🙂

That will indeed suffice, we have it all sorted now, all we need is a venue and a time.
