Where I’ve Been

With a mad end to the year and the customary beginning to the next, you may or, most likely,  may not have wondered where I have been.  Well the answer is precisely nowhere.  A lack of reading hasn’t helped but I have now returned to readerly and writerly ways.

I have been keeping myself creatively busy doing some writing for World Football Index, so if you fancy a gander at the articles that I have thus far written, you can my specific author page here.  I also missed my 13th anniversary with WordPress notification which really shows my age.

The photos in this post were done by Cris as I am shambolic when it comes to anything visually creative. These are most of the books picked up in the back half of last year that I didn’t get a chance to show you.  Reviews of four will be forthcoming soon and my previous blog post covered the excelleny Poems from the Northeast.

Books not pictured here that were acquired since these photos were taken include: Bridge to Terebithia, Carries War, Dune, The Witches: Salem1692: A hyistory, The Gate of Angels, Jane Eyre, What to Read Next, The Subterraneans/Pic and The White Castle.  As always lots to share with you over the coming weeks and months and will be around for a visit to your blogs soon.

    1. Life has been a bit manic but finally things are calming down. I would have written more on it but it would be just plain dull. I already have a few posts lined up so hoping to be back to my old ways. I have missed you all!

    1. It is a struggle sometimes but back and on the writing wave. I smashed Dune and am amlost done with Dune Mesiah, I will take a bit of a break before I start Children of Dune, I have been relentless with the series so far. A trip to the library to stack up on even more books is in order, methinks.

    1. I had never heard of BtT before I read about it, I had to have it and am really getting back into the Puffin Classics, of which I have read surprisingly few. Cris is visually creative and regualrly laughs at my pitiful efforts to arrange books into something eye-catching, she has a big smile on her face from your words, which brightens up the miserable, rainy day we have here.

  3. Ste J, I’ve been busy the whole time, so although I missed your posts, I was too preoccupied to recriminate with you for being absent. But now that Twitter is a little better, though I’m rootiing for Ukraine and all wrapped up with watching the world scene that way and so still busy, I want to know about you and Crissy and baby Amelia. Write some time and gimme some facts!
