Strolling through over 250 of my drafts – which cunningly helped me avoid actually writing anything – it seems to me the best course of action will be to take a few days away from the blog in order to write and get a lot of outstanding and promised posts finished. It comes to something when I can’t even muster strength to think objectively about the books I am reading and as I do drive to put out, at the very worst just ‘decent’ posts, then this is better off all round.
I shall be around all your blogs tomorrow to check in before my mini break and will be back before August so it isn’t anything to major but it is polite to at least inform you that I shall not be around for a while…I aim to be back with not only more book reviews but also all the other types of post I have mooted in the past year or so in order to diversify up…I may stop by to check if I have had comments but other than that please try not to cry yourselves to sleep without my presence.

I, on the other hand, due to life and submissions (both come first), I’ve yet to work on my blogs *sigh* Yes, this HAS been the ongoing story for a good 1 1/2 years, well—except for a few concentrated spurts. Enjoy getting caught up and doing the writing in a more focused, leisurely way 😀

Sniff! sniff! Eyes watering…facial expression crumbling…ergh….unh-henh…waaaaaaaaaaaaa! How can I help but cry? You are not only one of the main people I blog with, and one who is also attentive to my posts, but one who writes all sorts of funny things that keep me in a good humor and a light-hearted frame of mind. You will have to imagine for weeks now my pouting underlip stuck out and my arms folded irritably against my chest, and me stomping my foot. You’d better hurry back, or I’m going to send you one of those Pee-Pee Betty dolls that does everything (well, almost everything) including cry in the mail just so that you get the message very close to home. Seriously, hurry back soon, we will all miss you, I’m sure!

Crikey, that sounds like a grim promise and one I would like to avoid getting in the mail. I dare say that it will be less than six days before my return and I will be back with a vengeance by which I mean jut turning up and looking good by combing my hair like one of the T-Birds. I am glad that you enjoy my words and the order that they are put in…your blog posts are always epic in length and depth and that is never a bad thing in my brown eyes.

You omit to notice (tactfully) that I seem never to shut up, which is a bit of a negative thing for those bloggers and e-mailers such as my brother, who want it all short and sweet. But we each have our signature style, and mine is the North American Wordy Devil. Yours seems to be the British Deep Thoughts Witiciser Supreme. You don’t talk to much, you have a lot to say about subjects you love and that shows passion which is the ambrosia of bloggers. Passion shine through and makes people want to read, I would be perhaps the best dressed example of that. I may have to get a name badge with that title on. I am hoping to bring a diverse range of subjects and thoughts to the fore…hopefully I won’t just be lazy.

I can only estimate, but since on the average 3 posts a week seem to go up from you, I would never think of calling you lazy. It is a challenge to keep up with everything you’re writing about.

It’s a challenge writing them as well, I like to keep a decent amount of hits going on and it can get on top of me sometime but this break will help with that and give everybody a chance to catch up haha!

I’m impressed that I lasted this long posting once every two or three day for most of the year so far. Everybody, myself included puts so much content out there it is always tough to keep up so I feel like a public service by taking the pressure off you for a bit.

I think the pressure builds as well as you feel like yo need to commit to so many posts a week and such, it can be wearying, which is one reason I stopped solely reviewing books as I was catching up with myself to quickly. Computers are great but life doesn’t just exist on the blog, otherwise what would we write about?

Had I known I would have held on for a little longer, I have always possessed bad timing, I think that is why I lost my watch making job in the Swiss alps when I was younger haha.
