Spatial Awareness

04 Aug

Sometimes there is a video and accompanying music that captures one heck of an epic journey and demands to be shared, today I found this…topically there is also a new Doctor tonight, the mightiest Sci-Fi stalwart of all time carries on.  Enjoy….

Hullo Ren! I like to shoe horn a topical subject into something I randomly found that has beauty to it.

What do you mean a new Doctor? A new episode? Or have they actually announced Matt Smith’s successor and the news hasn’t reached my part of Oz yet?

Oh Peter Capaldi, how exciting! (This is what happens when you check wordpress before Facebook)…I love that they’ve gone with a more mature specimen – hopefully this means the writers can forego crappy love triangles and sexual tension with companions and focus on bringing back a bit of genuine suspense that has been lacking since Russell T Davies left.
I wonder how they’re going to get around the fact that he’s already been in an episode…
Oh…..I’ve just hijacked your comment stream…sorry…

Capaldi, I believe is 63, same as William Hartnell when he started. It is annoying when yet another companion really likes him, it diminishes from her character and gets way so samey. It will change the whole feel of the show through the Doctor’s character which is nice.

The writing did take a hit but it has got stronger this last series, or half series as it seems to be for some odd reason only the BBC know why. Colin Baker was in an episode when Peter Davison was the Doctor and companion Harry was also featured in a Pertwee episode as a completely different character (just showing my nerdery there) so I don’t think they will reference it, unless they throw in an off the cuff reference at some point.

Couple years ago I discovered a song that was quite an experience. Guitar solos (taking almost eight out of nine minute composition) made me feel as ethereal and endless as particle.. I drenched myself with it on a daily basis.. Now, it doesn’t have quite the same mesmerizing effect – I’m left with the memory..

Be sure to watch Perseid meteor shower this weekend!

Memories are great and so powerful, I love how it made you feel, that makes me smile. The power of music is wondrous sometimes when it conveys something as epic as feeling’ as ethereal and endless as a particle’. Beautiful! I will try and stay up if sleep lets me and the clouds are away somewhere else.

Excellent! There’s even a Dalek at about 1.04. I noticed the your Telegraph today listed the top 10 Drs Who as well as the top 5. My personal 5 favourites are Joh Pertwee, David Tennant, ?, Peter Davidson, Christopher Eccleston. Surprisingly, after at first hating his Dr Who, Matt Smith comes in third. I’d be interested to hear your opinion of Peter Capaldi.

What a topical observation about the Dalek lol. Good top five I think I would have to go… Pertwee, Tennant, McCoy, Troughton and Baker. It’s always annoying that some actors settle into the role just before leaving. I think the writing wasn’t as good for a lot of Smith’s reign but got better for the last series or two parts of the series if you will.

Capaldi, being older will change the feel of the show, as each new Doctor should but I am hoping for less romancey type things and a more serious tone. still with the trademark humour, of course as that has always been there…it will be interesting to see how the show ‘regenerates’ again. I’m all excited now.

It’s mind blowing how far you are in front of me, world wise. It takes time to imagine you going to bed after you posted this when I was only up a few hours. I do like to share all the awesome stuff I see on the net. It is very rare I just post a video but words wouldn’t have enhanced the visuals methinks. x

For sure. It didn’t need words. Sometimes life is better without them! Lol

So, if I’m morning….you must be night? It is strange. Xx

Yup when you write it is my 1AM-ish and when I see them, it’s getting on for the evening. Timing is confusing…I do get a bit spun out by it all.

Connected to everything…I love that phrase, it is an immense feeling of love, wonderment and power, yet conversely the opposite of all three of those words. Ah you always make me think morer than I do, I love that. xxxxx
