30 Gorgeous and Innovative Bookshelves

07 May

After browsing through random WordPress pages I came across this awesome article on erdilielsfavourites blog.   This is my ideal job I have just decided.  Only the designing though as my attempts to make stuff at school were laughable, except for the magazine and cd holder, which I must admit – although it did fill its function – a cardboard box would be equally up to the task and probably looks more refined.

    Great concept!

    Probably hard to clean though.

The guys and gals coming up with these concepts probably hire someone to come and clean them. I hadn’t thought of that as I was so overawed by the sheer awesome and mentalness of some of the designs. I will still to the ones which take minimum cleaning time (until my inevitable(!) Lotto win, of course).

Gorgeous and innovative indeed! I must say, I love ’em all in their own unique little ways, but the infinity bookshelf has to be my favourite. It’s so neat and pretty, and would look incredible in the centre of a room, leaving all the walls free for yet more bookshelves and more books! Thanks for sharing, Stephen.

May have to knock up one of those myself, although maybe just a pile of books on the floor would suffice, as that is my usual M.O.

Thank you. Now you inspire me to write a tragic, heart-wrenching story that will make you sob instead. I recently received a Versatile Blogger Award so I would like to be worthy of it.

I have a heart of steal, if you can penetrate that then I will send you some funny socks. You are worthy of all the awards you get, I hope one day you can get the elusive licking your own elbow award. That would be breathtaking.

Aha! Deal! Only if the socks were personally made by you. If knitting and crocheting were standards of being a woman, then perhaps members of my gender already turned their backs on me.

You just wait. I also received The Awesome Things award. Can you believe it? I think awards are used as form of “chain letters/awards”, but I don’t have the heart to say this to those who nominate me so I just go along with it.

It is nice but yeah, it can be a bit much when loads come along at once. it also means a few extra hits, not that you are short of hits. Little miss popular. I have never had a go at knitting or crocheting socks but i would be up for having a go, would you like my face on your socks. Then you could take me everywhere you go.

Oh lovely! Sure, feature your face when you make my socks. Just make sure that you won’t put it in the soles as I do not want to unintentionally step down on you.

I’ll put me on the front of your ankle, so I can see where you are taking me.

Sounds a good idea. But little Steve must be stitched/embroidered facing forward!
